SOLDINI IVO
Ivo Soldini, was born 1951 in Lugano Switzerland. He lives and works in Ligornetto, Ticino. After attending the Liceo Cantonale secundary school in Lugano , he spend a year at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) of Brera, Milano (1972-1973) and started his artistic activity as a painter and sculptor.Soldinis-workfits into the sculpting tradition focused on both the representation of the human being and on the psichological investigation of man`s modern exsistence in the first decade of his plastic acttvity.
His pictorial and graphical production is closely linked to his plastic work. The quick lines of ink , nervous marks of the back drawings or the gestural expressivenes exhibited by his multi-color temperas of neo expressionist inspiration draw of his original chaos.
